SHE HAS A DEEP LOVE AND RESPECT FOR INTUITIVE GUIDANCE, PROTECTING WILD PLACES, AND THIS EVER EVOLVING PLANT MEDICINE JOURNEY WHICH PROVES MORE EXCITING, BEAUTIFUL, AND FULL OF LIGHT WITH EVERY STEP.
Dani spends her days traveling along and across the Illinois, Missouri, and Mississippi Rivers in the Midwest Heartland, helping homesteads with natural animal rearing using wild plant medicine. She feels most at home walking in a herd of goats, behind her apothecary stand at farmers markets, or amongst plants growing wild and free. She has a deep love and respect for intuitive guidance, protecting wild places, and this ever evolving plant medicine journey which proves more exciting, beautiful, and full of light with every step.
She loves learning and practicing ancient wisdom collected in the form of medicine making, stories, nutrition, ritual and ceremony. She is co- creator of The Full Moon Tribe, a monthly women's circle nested on a bluff over the Mississippi River created to connect women to their wild nature through plants, storytelling, rhythm and cycles of the moon. She works as a member and co- creator of the American Herbalist Guild chapter for the states of Illinois and Missouri to bring awareness to people of the power and vulnerability of the plant world.

HEALING BENEATH OUR FEET
I carry with me an incurable curiosity for unmarked winding paths. I feel most alive and at home out in the natural world, walking pathways beside my plant and animal allies, forever my guides on this ever changing journey. If you've found your way to this space I want to thank you for taking the time.
Apothecary is a throwback to an ancient word that carries meaning of a place of medicine. In this space you will find herbal folk medicine that is lovingly harvested and crafted. You will find medicinal companions and translations of inspiration. The apothecary was created so that I may translate the spirit of my wanderings, connection with plants, and the speaking of my soul into something others can share and experience. All that I create holds a spiritual meditation for me. I think about whose hands I am passing it to. I think about the plants and animals it came from and how it will be loved. Each plant is meant to bring more healing and connectiveness to you.
I have been studying, listening to, and working with plants and their medicinal properties for over a decade. It brings me so much joy to translate the offerings of plants to the people around me. I am passionate about protecting wild places as well as allowing the rewilding of others, both inside ourselves and in our environment. Over the years I've stepped into many roles; Folk Herbalist, Shepherdess, Beekeeper, Wild-crafter, Artist, Farmhand, and Wild Woman to name a few. All of which keep me out in the places I love most, rooted in the earth. Check in with my Project Page to find info and updates with the work I do such as The Full Moon Tribe: a lunar gathering of women honoring the Sacred Feminine - and The Wild Grown Bus: the soon to be full time home and apothecary to travel, write, and seek ancient knowledge. Throughout the year you will find me working out of my traveling tent at farmers markets and community gatherings. I always strive to create a safe and inviting space and seek nothing less for this space here. From my wandering feet to your hands, I bring medicine to the people.
